Functieomschrijving

As a member of our Belgian operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities on our Finance and Accounting, in collaboration with one more team member.

You will:

Perform actively general finance and accounting activities.

Your responsibilities:

Input all entries into the general ledger, including insurance technical accounting, staff costs, processing suppliers’ invoices, company taxes and social taxes.
Preparation of periodic VAT-declarations.
Processing of all bank payments.
Reconciliation of bank accounts with bank statements.
Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for HO management.
Complete quarterly balance reconciliation sheets.
Process and analyse local results and provide analysis on local branch.
Support with finance projects.
Play an active role in the internal and external audit process, including preparing information for auditors.
Ad hoc finance work, as required.

Profiel

Your profile:

Master or Bachelor degree in Business Administration / Finance and Accounting.
A first experience in the insurance sector.
Excellent analytical skills and drive for accuracy.
Organized and structured mind.
Good time management – able to work under strong pressure and dedicated to meet variable deadlines.
Positive attitude to resolve problems/troubles with Customer First spirit in mind.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Fluent English is a must, other languages are assets.
